Notorious? I wouldn't say so since she's a lovely lady. A guest at my home many a time and some uproarious evenings with friends at table. She has never cooked so it was always up to me, and she had a knack of getting people to talk about themselves which at times was embarrassing, because they talked about their sex life - or lack of it - as if no one else was there. I always had a waiting list for the dinner parties when she came to stay, and at the end of the evening she always gave out her card; to the ladies it was written "you were always one of the best of my girls" and to the men "you were always one of my favourite clients". They were much treasured I can tell you.
To finish, she used to explain her life in three phases; "I did it, I managed it, and now all I do is talk about it".
She still lives in the same house as shown in the film with Julie Walters, and the bedroom the police broke into still has the panel missing. As she says "memories, just memories". Oh, and the fellow in the rubber suit in the box at the top of the stairs? Dead now, but he lived in the house for many years afterwards.
I'll scan one of the cards and post it. Of course, they were like luncheon vouchers!
Edit: Now where did you get that photo please? It is my private property and someone has copied it from my site. I have never had an account with Thumbsnap. This isn't the first time I've found my photos copied so I have now made private and uncopiable my photos. I didn't mind people looking at them, but using them elsewhere I object to, without my permission. I am, after all, a journalist and photographer, so stealing the bread from my mouth is something I will not appreciate.
