DONT TAKE THE DOORS OFF , under any circumstances!!! Leave them on so you can GAP the Sills to the Doors.
And YES , Brace the A and B posts to stop the shell Twisting or Sagging, BEFORE you cut the Outer sills off. Get the car on a level floor.
Roadster shells are weak.
Do one side of it first.

Actually, you need to combine all of the above posts!
The sills cannot be accessed well enough to fully weld in (or cut the old ones out for that matter) with the doors in place.
We would normally weld in two bracing bars... one as above post states, level with the top of the door skin, the second about 4" above the doorstep line.
Remove the doors BUT keep them to hand so that you can trial fit them AT ALL stages; & don't fully weld ANY outer panelwork into position (I.E tack it all up first) until you are happy with the door gaps, levels & clearence etc.
