I'd like to as for your opinions regarding the springs of my old 1800 S ('67).
I recently bought some Bilstein dampers for the old lady and some standard springs. Now I'm not sure whether to fit them or not.
In 44 years time, the car lowered itself by some mm (think something in the region of 20mm is a good guess). The new springs would raise the car by that amount. What do you think is the better setup?
44 year old springs with a lower CoG, or shiny new ones that raise the car by a good inch?

20mm is only 4/5th or so of an Inch.

It will ride much more nicely with the new springs. And they should settle down most of that distance reasonably quickly (a couple of thousand miles)
