A mate of mine who use to run Hartford motors in Banbury, then Oxford, kindly took me out in one of these when they were new. I had a little go as well, impressive grunt for its day, a fair bit quicker than my standard 2.8i Capri i had at that time.

Shortly after there was a red one running around the Fareham / Porcheter area where i lived then. After i sold my Capri, i bought a Renault 5 Turbo 2, and always used to look out for the red Tickford for some fun!
It would of had the Turbo 2 in a strait line though, no problem

At least they made an effort to make it handle and stop !!

Rear axle mods, limited slip diff etc. The standard Capri 2.8i brakes are appalling, but that body kit looks so naff/ugly, particularly in White.

Give me a Turbo 2 any day !!

No, it was Charles Eveson, top bloke and good driver too. I do know Bill, only spoke to him last year about Escort stuff, he is also a top bloke.

yes i know him, so if you was in banbury at that time do you remember the tickfod that was in banbury
it was driven by someone called billy ?

No, i was visiting banbury to see Charles, i was living in Fareham at the time.
