A guy I did my apprenticeship with used to occasionally bring his fathers Sprint estate into work. It was a damn quick car. And for a tuned X Flow quite refined.

Excellent stuff....... smile

As I mentioned in another thread recently, the guy who for the past 15+ years or so, used to do all my MOTs up until he retired a year or so ago, used to work at Race Proved building the Savage Cortina's, and up until he retired he still used to 'look after' a number of Savage cars for their owners because of his knowledge of them.

Shown as last taxed 1994 and no news since so probably lost.

Not sure if it was Geoff Uren but im sure that many moons ago they did the same thing with an escort and it was called the escort apache.but I am pretty sure I will be corrected if I am wrong.

Excellent info Alan. The Apache was the Escort from memory and the V8 Capri was called the Perana

The Escort was the Apache but the Capri was a Stampede, the Perana was a South African Mk1 with a V8.
