BMW 80 30 years later
Discussion
So anyway 30 years or so ago driving towards Cookham and I see this car, well...... I had my camera with me so what's a guy ment to do. I parked in the road and walked up the drive, as I recall a rather good looking woman got out and I asked if I could take some pictures (of the car hee hee !!) She said OK but they were not to appear in any mags or the like as this was the only one in the country (I think her husband worked at BMW)
So here we are 30 years later and I feel I can share them with you guys as the car is fairly old news now !!
Hope they are still as interesting now as they were to me then.
Thanks For Looking

It looks like an Orig "BAT CSL", all the "Bat" Cars were L.Hand Drive and it has the MotorSport Stripes instead of the Std CSL" Tiger Stripes ".
Bats were useually painted Polaris Silver or Chamonix White.
Horrifically expensive when new, something like over 8 Grand. A standard CSL was listed @ £7,399 in June 73, although many were heavily discounted to shift them.
Celebrity CSL owners included, Norman Wisdom, Victor Gauntlet who apparently had 2.
Anyone add to this list ?
This White BAT was featured in the Sadly Long Defunct Fast Car Magazine, In 1974 . They raved about it, calling it "DER ULTRA SUPER WAGEN"
