Can anyone identify these classic Italian rear lights??
Discussion
Hi Folks,
I bought these rather attractive 50's/60's? rear light clusters a couple of years back to go on an Italian styled roadster I had planned to build - another pipe-dream! The bloke I bought them from said they had been used on several Italian low volume classics including Alfa, Lancia, Maserati and Ferrari - but I've never been able to find out which - if any. Could be off a Fiat truck for all I know!
Anyway, I want to advertise them and would like to mention their true heritage.
They are marked Altissimo 334.01.81 (right) and .91 (left)
I know you guys are up for a challenge - does anybody know

Google only gives this thread so I can't help
Bin googlin all afternoon but nothing definate yet. There's a guy on USA Ebay got something similar which relates to Ferrari 250's but, having looked at a few 250 pics, don't think mine are quite the same.I've noticed there is a 'BS' mark on the brake lenses - a clue? Maybe were on a car supplied to UK market.
Similarly, have been told they may be off a Fiat 1200/1500 Cabriolet - but again, nope, no quite the same as far as I can see.
Thanks for looking! Someone must know. Does Altissimo still exist as a company?
Looks like a .91 was sold here, and it says Fiat 500 - but no year

Heres some on a Fiat 500 estate (who knew these existed?)

So that’s my lot, I think it’s a Fiat 500 Giardiniera circa 1963
Hope that helps!

Yep! I'm happy these are from the early Fiat 'Giardiniera'.Just wondered what this Italian name meant. Did a bit of research and it seems it means either 'from the garden' or 'spicy vegetable soup'.
So I suppose in UK they could have been marketed as the Fiat Compost or the Fiat Scotch Broth!

It's true - so much copying going on in those days. Can think of so many examples - grilles, wheel spats, fins, you name it! But has anything changed? Cars have developed into very different shapes - but how different is a modern Jag from a BMW from an Audi?mgtony said:
