Panther Lima / Kallista
Discussion
Hopefully an quick and easy question.
Curently I've got an '72 Austin (not an Austin Healey - one of the 1022 Austin versions made after agreement with Healey ceased) Sprite. Due to left leg problem I find it a little too small.
I've always fancied a Panther Lima or Kallista and as they use the same doors as Sprite / Midget am I right in assuming the "cockpit" is roughly the same size as well - ie will be just as bad for me ?
Thanks.

How do Compo.
I had one of those 1022 as well, bloody thing was rotten and I'm 6' 3", it was fine once I was in but getting in was a menace of a job.
Sold it and bought a Mk3 stfire.
Same here. Once in it's perfectly OK for my disabilities but getting in and out is nightmare. Not as bad as a Caterham I sat in at a show - saleman had to pull me out I had one of those 1022 as well, bloody thing was rotten and I'm 6' 3", it was fine once I was in but getting in was a menace of a job.

Hi Compo,
Had my s1 Lima for over 20 years now and I think you will be fine once in, problem will be getting in and out with the roof up. As I get older it is getting more difficult to get in and out of with the roof on, fortunatley I only use her during nice weather these days and leave the roof down, but if you can't do that it will probably be a no no for you.
Would recomend them as a fun car, my choice would be a late s2 Lima if you can find one, especially if it has had a DTV engine upgrade.
If your serious join one of the owners clubs as thats where most of the decent cars come up for sale, although some of the owners can be quite previous about value.
Best of luck - Wezo
