Evening all smile - Did you have a good one? xmas

I try to give something a little different in my postings and after the Russian Rolls and the Pink Lambo story I thought you might like to comment on this that I found this afternoon.

One of Pininfarina's all time classics abandoned down a railway tunnel.

I can't upload pics because they're attributed to the owner -unless someone knows differently-

Anyway- here you are and there are a few others in the same set

Wow, how interesting. What an unusual mix of cars. A blinkin' big tunnel too, blocked off mid 70's, under the Mersey maybe? I wonder how recent these pictures are? Anyone with more info?

They are recent pic's.Have a hunt around on the different groups that the pic's are associated with. My understanding from reading it is that the previous owners just haven't come back for their cars.

No doubt a little light fingering and vandalism have taken their toll as well - did you catch the Lotus?

Yes, I spotted it. That tunnel must normally be sealed up for them to be so preserved.

I think this is actually a locked up railway arch which the photographer has gained access to. If you look at the Rover it could not possibly be in that condition if it wasn't locked away.

That's flickr deliberately being a st to you.

1) View Page Source

2) Find this bit (about a quarter of the way down):

<div class="photo-div">

<img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4128/5045800110_0ac8f9fdc8_z.jpg" alt="photo" width="640" height="409"></div>

</div>

3) Copy the image URL out of that and stick it between img tags in your post.

Why are those cars in that tunnel in the first place?

It's a garage in what was a terminal of the overhead railway.

An AMC Pace :O , I would love to go exploring those tunnels. Is it actually possible to get into them legally or are they sealed off to the public ?
