Car heater stopped working, where can i get it repaired?

Hi, My car heater has packed up and as the car is from the mid eighties the manufacturer does not want to help, any idea if there is a firm that repairs or recons car heater motors? Any assistance would be really appreciated.

Might help if we knew what car it was and exactly what the symptoms were?

Are you sure its the Motor and not a feed/switch/earth problem?

Hi, Its a Lamborghini Jalpa, 1985 and the unit says SPAL on it, but they cant help nor Eurospares. Its dead, ie power is going into it but thats it.

I would guess that the brushes are worn out.

Do you have the motor removed?

can it be opened up?
