Used some of this today on top of some clean, and mainly shiny metal(after a good hour of wirebrushing!), but some was a little rusty...not loose or flaky though...

Is it ok to use it like this? Or does it really require it be completely rust free, shiny metal?

Thanks...

That's fine, get rid of the loose stuff and slap it on.

Cheers! smile

You used it or not? Any reviews of it?

I use Dynax S50 in all the box sections and brush UB every where else. Much easier application than waxoyl seems to adhere well and do a good job. My car doesn't go out when the roads are covered in salt however.

I have some S50 too, coated the underneath of the bonnet with it too, was a bit of a messy job, hopefully will stop it rusting though!!

D'you paint UB seal ontop of surface rust too then?

It did seem to go on a lot easier than waxoyl...not as messy!

If your worried about it you could always use some rust convertor once you've got the loose stuff off.

Mine's not too bad so I just brush it on to stop it "going any further"
