Insurance group 7

So according to my insurance they'll only insure me on cars up to insurance group 7.

With the lack of information I can find what classics fall into this category?

I was looking at Minis but I'm not sure if I like them enough to warrant their current prices

Did you ask your insurers either for their list of cars or where you can get a list from? Don't forget to emphasise that you're talking about classics e.g. cars pre < insert required date here >

There is a link here....http://www.thatcham.org/abigrouprating/ In theory it covers all cars, i.e. the ABI Groups, and whilst it's good if you know what car and want to know "what insurance group is it", it's not so user friendly when it comes to answering "what cars are in insurance groups..." Do-able but a bit of a PITA
