MGB GT Wider wheels?
Discussion
What is the widest rubber I can get away with on a MGB GT with standard wings?
I've been looking at the following wheels but haven't had chance to do any measuring (I am 100% sure they wont fit)

What should I be looking at? Wider Minilites / Wolfies?

They will fit, but you'll have to do some serious inner wing / outer wing adaptions. Even the 7.5 J wheel requires a little work.
After that, it's down to personal choice. I prefer minilites over wolfrace, although the B I've inherited has got some godawful 1990s MGOC barry wheels on it. Which will be changed when finances can justify it.

6" wide with the correct offset, without rolling the rims. I think the standard ones are 5.5".

Sounds about right. 7J with carefully (subtle rolling and pulling the wings a bit).http://www.mgexperience.net/article/wheel-xref.htm...
