I've found an E-type that I'm interested in buying but as I know little
about the marque, I need somebody trustworthy to do an inspection for me.

The car is located in the NW Midlands; who should I contact to commission an inspection?
Is there anybody here on PH who would do it?

Thanks.

They are the company I used when I bought an E type a few years ago, and did a very thorough examination for me. The report is also a useful thing to have in the car's file. Money well spent.

I would recommend using a Jaguar specialist as even a competent motor engineer would not necessarily know what is correct for a particular year or model of E-type.

This is more relevant for earlier cars that have been previously restored, it's quite common for the restorer to use later (incorrect) repair panels. Also make sure you check the chassis numbers as there a several roadsters that have been created from coupes.

I have used Classic Motor Cars in Bridgnorth for all my purchases. Ask for Nick.

They certainly seem to know their stuff.

I attended a JEC seminar a weeks back, I've also discussed a few things with Nick over the years, he/they seem well respected in the Jaguar business.
