Bank holiday, wind, rain - you know how it is. so I'm watching an old film and this showed up. Sorry for the poor picture but I froze the screen and took a picture. I have absolutely no idea as to what it might be. The hub caps seemed to sport a BMW propeller, but I'm not sure. Anyone able to help?
It's a Frazer Nash Targa Florio.
'XMC 1' was originally on a 1951 Frazer Nash Drophead Coupe, sold new to Mrs Kitty Maurice in the USA.
In 1955, 'MAM 437' was then registered to the Drophead, and 'XMC 1' was transferred to a new Le Mans Coupe that also belonged to her.
Factual nugget: Kathleen (Kitty) Maurice was a motorsport enthusiast, and the landowner of the Castle Combe site when it held its first race meeting.

Buttt who is behind he 4CV?
you'll need to turn the telly round I can only see the girl in front of the car she'd be 60 at least now
ETA: it's a 1953 film so she would have been 87 if she's Eva Bartok

Looks like a Renault 4CV to me
<Pedant Hat>Actually old sport, it's RHD, therefore it was known as a Renault 750. The 4CV designation was reserved for the French-built cars. There are fewer that 40 or so of either type left in the UK, though fortunately more in France.
