I visited Pilkington Automotives in Sheerness today. Met up with Peter Swann the manager who showed me round the factory. I actually saw 2 pieces of glass being melded together oh, and it has a sheet of plastic in between as well. They had an amazing amount of jigs and patterns for old cars and if you are struggling to replace your screen, all the big boys go here, load the prices and tell you what a difficult job they had in finding one! I will be placing an order for our espada restoration. To date they have made 20 espada screens since 1976 with several varying colours and banding on the glass.
