I was recently greasing the 4 drive shaft UJ's of my E type. I was able to get at 3 but the 4th grease nipple was shrouded by the UJ housing, perhaps the cruciform had been assembled the wrong way round.... Instead of a straight nipple I need a 45 deg one. Any one know what thread the thread it is ? Thanks

Take the shroud off and bin it, then replace the nipple.with a 30 degree item, A RH item will not fit

Yes, that's exactly what I want to do, 30 or 45 deg, either would do the job, need to know the thread so I can get the correct one.

Tapered BSP I believe.30 degree would be better.

Probably 1/8" BSP taper.

Thanks for the info everybody. I think the part number is UHN445, when I get it (it's on back order) I'll take the old one out and compare the threads. I looked at this website http://www.greasenipples.co.uk/ and 1/8" BSP taper is available there so that's plan B.
