I have been given a suitcase full of classic brochures. I've started photographing each page, I thought you guys in this section would appreciate seeing the brochure covers as I photo them. Heres the first few (of about 500).

some of those mini ones are worth a fortune, particually if they are from the first print run for the particular model

you can (IIRC) date them from the little codes on the back page.

there is one particular brocure for the 1071 cooper s that had a section that suggested that bmc where so confident that they would warrenty any breakages eeven if used in comp cars - oddly the next print run had this blanked out!

a nice collection you have there!

Cheers for the info smile quite a few mini ones in the pile. Long old process taking pictures of each page and layout, seems to be running about 20 photos per brochure. What I'll do is put covers up here to begin with and then when I've got through the lot put up details on request, simply too much work to host them all.

Ah the Blue one above is :-

Publication No: 2460, Austin / 2461 Morris

BMC are obviously beginning to cut corners with the introduction of the MK2 models, the cars are still badged as both Austin & Morris, but the brochures are identical, apart from the fact that one has "Morris" over the Mini-Cooper (as here) and the other has "Austin" in the same place.
I also have the 1st one, printed 1962 I'll get a load more pics up on the weekend, really difficult to take decent pics under electric light.

Publication Number H. 6163 (7/61)

The first brochure for the 997cc Morris Cooper . Various versions exist, the changes were made to reflect changes in specification and local market conditions. This style of brochure was used until the introduction of the 998 Cooper in mid 1964.

Very few were made, thats why they are relatively unknown. Based on a TVR Griffith/Grantura Chassis and packing a punch supplied by a Ford 298ci Mustang Lump.

And Just Who was the Stunning Blonde Babe in the Cooper S Brochure ?

I have this one in my collection as well, it came via Cypruss, and has the Cyprus Tradeing Corp Stamp on it, must be a very rare one as few CooperS sold in Cyprus

Cool!
That Trident one must be rare. Is it just me or is the car featured a bit scruffy for a brochure, The outer sills look like they are already rusting?
