Take a Alvis TD21 FHC and turn it into a DHC? This looks very cheap at £15K. A mate restored a drophead a couple of years ago and has most of the bits required from a scrapped drophead including the hood frame. Considering the drophead's go for £50K upwards it seems like it could be a decent proposition.

I took one of those in part exchange against a brand new Triumph Acclaim HLS trio-matic in 1983. We stood it at £300 and none of our regular traders would take it off us. Tried advertising it, couldn't shift it. Pretty much gave it away eventually, to some bloke who spotted it around the back when he was out walking his dog.
