Lancia Delta Integrale
Discussion
Look for a good history, especially on the earlier cars that are within your budget as some, if not all, have been bought by folk who can't afford to maintain them properly. They aint cheap to run by any standards and genuine parts are expensive as well as fairly thin on the ground.
Rust is commonplace just about everywhere, as are stress cracks in the body - pull back door seals and such to check for these.
Try all the electrics, as they generally have a mind of their own. Try not to buy anything thats been extensively modified, especially in the engine department, unless its been done by someone who really knows what they're doing ie Lancia specialists such as Tanc Barratt etc.
To drive, they are simply awesome. I don't think I've ever driven such a tactile car before or since. To this day, theres very little can stay with one on a wet country road.
Good luck.

I'm on my second, owned them for over ten years....
Electrical oddities are frequently the multiple earth tags in the engine bay, cleaning these works wonders.
Considering the basic Delta is a 1970s design, rust isn't really a major problem and the usual places (front and rear screen surrounds and rear roof) have known repairs techniques.
The cracking can affect all models but is more likely on the Evos.
They will cope very happily with daily use but unless you can do nearly all the work yourself, that is when they get expensive - the usual budget figure quoted is £2500 per year.
Have a look at some of the 16Vs on the PH classifieds, looks like there may be a couple of good ones there now.
