Help please - Practical Classics mags 2003-2004
Discussion
Hi,
Im hoping you chaps may be able to help here - Im trying to find the Practical Classics magazines that covered the restoration of a 60's Triumph Herald 1200.
According to Practical Classics themselves, they covered this subject from mid 2003 to early 2004, and I'd love to lay my hands on the magazines if anyone has them laying round cluttering up the place?
Thanks in advance.

No promises, but there is a good chance they are lurking in my loft. I have several years' issues of all the main classic car mags bagged & boxed. I shall have a clamber up there over the weekend and PM you if I can help.
Are you after the magazines themselves or copies of the articles?

Just copies of the articles would be fantastic - I subscribe to the magazine now and have a healthy stock of 'bathroom reading' - (of which you can never have enough IMO) Are you after the magazines themselves or copies of the articles?

But, its the articles on the Herald that Im really after if you get the time to look!
Very much appreciated.

Just pulled out a box of mags from 2003/2004, thought this should be easy to glance through for the article, how wrong! If it is the Herald 13/60 convertible '69, then it seems to be over at least 8 parts.
So far I seem to have found the start which is Nov 2003, Jan 2004,March 2004,April 2004,Spring 2004,May 2004. Also came accross a big article on the Herald in the June 2002 issue and another big article on the Vitesse in the June 2003 issue.
Any of these what you're after?

They compiled a book on the restoration, which IIRC is basically the articles from the mag. You can usually pick up copies at autojumbles but I'd try Ebay or even Amazon marketplace for a s/h one.

Wow, thanks chaps for the investigations.
I was aware it was a restoration over several issues of the magazine - one of their project example vehicles thats done over a few months.
I thought they said that it covered an older Herald than that though... anyway - this is looking like a lot of messing around for you now isnt it!!!?
The book link is great as well thanks and Ive added it to the amazon basket - again it seems to cover the 13/60 rather than the older model, but Im sure most of it will be relevant anyway.
