the body is nearly finished , and the chassis is about half way thru being done....

A rare thing in the UK.
It's a distant relative of the quattro, From the Munga the Iltis was born and from here the ur quattro system was developed. As for part's, I think the Fatherland will be your best bet.

I've a very tatty hood (& frame),all the side screens, windscreen & frame & a couple of manuals for one of these someplace in the depths of my shed.

hi nigel , i am interested in the hood and side screens mate (would be able to use them as a template) .....Is it a munga 4 as seen in my pic?

I was only joking... I don't think your average RS4 driver has the first inclination as to the history of their marque prior to the Quattro.

I doubt many of them are even aware of that.

I quite fancy an Iltis I must admit, may as well go for one of each.

Try the Auto-Union club both here and Germany, thriving club in Germany. I think that you can get most bits. My dad had one for some months, ex dutch army (not my dad), barrel of laughs, we loved it as kids. If I can remember it could be used as a stationary generator also.
