Angouleme Historic Racing

Can anyone offer advice regarding the historic car racing at Angouleme in September ? I'm attending for the first time and there doesn't seem to be too much information on the website.

In particular, where and how to buy tickets for the racing and is it possible/better to pre-book ?

Where is the best place to park and what are the best vantage points ?

Anything else I need to know ?

just buy your tickets when you get there. Watch from the Remparts. There is also a tourist rally on saturday which can be interesting to chill out and watch somewhere along the route. Its a good event
