Course Running at Leeds w/c 28th Oct - Fabrication/Wheeling
Discussion
I have made reference in previous posts to the good work being done at Leeds University to continue to promote and provide the skills necessary to restore cars to their former glory.
I took part in their intro to welding course this summer and found it thoroughly enjoyable and enlightening!
Now, they had to cancel the fabrication and wheeling course, which was due to follow on the next week, due to lack of participants - which I find a little shocking, and quite sad.
I would love to go on this course (Starting 28th October 2010) but they arent going to run it without enough people there to justify the expense of having their workshops open (which are astounding with the amount of tools, machines and space available for students to learn new skills).
The courses are normally around 395 quid for a week - there are stacks of B&B's right on the doorstep, and the skills picked up could be directly translated into the work you may need to do on your own classic.
If anyone is interested in the courses please feel free to drop me a PM and I will give you what info I have - Or better still, contact Mikey (one of the tutors at Leeds Uni) direct via email at: Michael.Coman@leedscitycollege.ac.uk - and express your interest.
They only need 7 or 8 students to justify running the course in the half term week, so anyone interested, or anyone you know who might be, please let them know asap and get your name down!
I hope to see a few of you there!

Bump.
Could a MOD perhaps pin this at the top of the page until some time in October to try and give the course a bit of well needed publicity.
Thanks
Heres a link to the contents of the fabrication and wheeling course - It looks like a great way to brush up on your hand tool techniques, as well as playing with some of the colleges big machinery!
