Got all excited today when I saw parked on the side of the road what I thought was a Mk3 Cortina 4 door.
But it seemed a bit... small.

It had the twin head lamps, vinyl roof and kind of coke bottle shape but I'm not convinced.
What else could it have been?

It seemed to have more of the Mk3 'tinas coke bottle shape than any that have been recomended.
I remember looking at the back of it and thinking it didn't look right for a 'tina but I was so shattered I can't remember why!
Maybe it was one and it just seemed small as I rode past.

Vauxhall Victor FD...??

Mind you, there are very few of these left.

Always liked them though, and they responded well to having a small block Chevy dropped into them biggrin

They weren't too dusty with the slanty block engine that God... Vauxhall gave them either

I love the old FDs - an uncle of mine had a red estate & a college lecturer a yellow VX4/90 - but I'd say they would be much biger than a mk3 'tina: maybe what you saw was a Taunus, the German equivalent; looks like a mk3 but not quite? Very few left here, I imagine, although I did see one, not so long back. That era doesn't have the coke bottle line, though, whereas an HB Viva would. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Taunus
