I love the old FDs - an uncle of mine had a red estate & a college lecturer a yellow VX4/90 - but I'd say they would be much biger than a mk3 'tina: maybe what you saw was a Taunus, the German equivalent; looks like a mk3 but not quite? Very few left here, I imagine, although I did see one, not so long back. That era doesn't have the coke bottle line, though, whereas an HB Viva would. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Taunus
