'Look-a-like' Minilites
Discussion
A lot of people seem to mention fake / imitation / 'Look-a-like' Minilites but I've never seen any for sale.
Who are the companies that make them?
And where should I be looking for them?
I'd be looking for them to fit an MGB GT 1979, Be larger diameter than the standard Rostyles (Sorry I don't know any / many of the measurements)
Pointing me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated!

Minator seems to be the main one, I've seen loads of classics recently with these fitted, particularly Triumphs for some reason.
On the latest page of the Classic Car Spotters Post, there's even a Sunbeam Rapier with a set!
I'd buy some tomorrow, but they only make 14 inch ones for MX-5's not 15 inch, so it's Rota RB's for me.

Got these on my E type, don't like the standard steel rims and am too lazy to clean wires

Wheels - Minatur as previously stated available in silverish and greyish, see here for some details, get a plus tyre package for good value - http://www.mgocaccessories.co.uk/acatalog/MGOC_Acc...Wheel_Tyre_Packages_190.html
IMO unless it's a track machine on a classic car you don't need wide and bigger wheels or wide tyres or smaller steering wheels
See my profile for Minilite copies on a couple of classics including my present

Cost more than 4 proper Minilites with tyres
Genuine Minilites are fantastic. Unbelievably light & strong. Only way to go for rallying...Roger Clark did over 8 miles on the rims in a Lotus Cortina (may have been a GT) on a Stage & wore it down to the "spokes", but it didn't bend nor break! It was hung on the wall at Boreham in summer 1968! You do need to keep them clean to avoid pitting....and don't catch fire!!!
The aluminium copies, look ok, and are much cheaper, pay your money, take your choice!

I know these one on eBay are on special offer but all of these seem to work out costing more than a set with tyres
I've heard of people getting some 'copies' for ridiculous amounts like £40 each
Edit:
These are the ones I've seen

I thought they were £300 not £400 buy hey ho! Looks like I've got some saving to do
