I'm confused. Weather.com tells me rain all next week in the UK and Accuweather says sunny. Now having a choice of cars to bring has anyone got a reliable piece of seaweed and can give me some help? No wipers and no hood aren't really practicable if the former is correct!

I believe the start of next week will be a mixed bacg of showers and sunshine, but believe by Thursday the weather will improve just in time for the Classic!!!

BBC weather has temperatures around 27c on Tuesday in Buckingham and sunshine!!

When do you have to make the decision - how late can you leave it to choose you car?

I live only about 30 minutes drive from Silverstone and do alot of track days there,
so I pay attention to many internet forecasts.

Metcheck USED to be the most reliable for the medium term forecasts
but Silverstone does have it's own micro-climate
which can fool many forecasters.

I would dearly like to know as I plan to do a possible double header , the classic on saturday , camping nearby then onto Gaydon for the All Ford rally on Sunday , camping though is not at all desirable in the rain and I have to make my mind up by this Sunday so I can book the relevant tickets etc..decisions decisions , this would have been so easy a fortnight ago.

Metcheck - sunshine - light showers

Weather this morning (7.45am) at Silverstone is 15c and overcast but last Sunday it was like this and raining (a bit) and turned into a stinking hot day...

I was at Silverstone today and in hindsight the BBC was more accurate at forecasting what the weather actually was than Metcheck.
Edit to say that for this Friday both say wet but for Saturday, BBC say dry whilst Metcheck say very slightly damp .... let's see!

Currently a bit of drizzle but sun is shining! As long as it doesn't do anything nasty whilst I put my tent up....!

Silverstone seems to be a little piece of abroad buried in Northamptonshire, or it has been 3 of the 4 times I've been for the GP. Ended up burnt to a crisp, completely the opposite of weather forecasts.
