As per title, what do the PH brigade reckon this car is worth:

The car is a red 1996 Fiesta Encore 3 door, ok nothing special, but with a genuine 19000 miles on the clock.
My mate has offered it to me if I want it or it suffers a fate worse than death by going on Ebay. He bought it from his next door neighbour who bought it new and has known the car all its life, so no question about the mileage being genuine.

The car was fitted with seat covers when bought and they are still on the seats. It drives like new and everything works.
It has been serviced/MOTd every year at the same time and the book stamped up, last one was this March when it got a new MOT at the same time.

What is it worth??

To any normal person its a 14yo Fiesta so maybe 5 or 6 hundred.

But given its condition it could be worth upto 1500 to the right person who is looking for a timewarp Mk3.

Given you can buy a half decent Mk3 Fiesta XR2i/Rs1800/Si for about 1500 I personally would be hoping to get it for less than a grand, really depends what you plan to do with it.

Worth bugger all. It's not desirable. It's not a classic. It'll sell as it'll make someone a fine first car but that's about it.

if its double clean, its surely a good base for an XR2i or RS restoration of some sort... especially in a few years. Sop if you can get it for not much then keep it somewhere its worth doing.

If its a 5dr, its not worth much!

A 1996 Encore model would be a Mk4 shape so It's no good as a XR2I base.

I guess about a grand top, It's a basic model, most likely a 1.3 as well, It would make a nice first car though.

Pretty much the way I see it.

Cheap to tax/insure/maintain, easy to fix (no complicated electrics etc), 1.3 OHV so not even a timing belt to worry about - hassle free old style motoring.

Having just sold a similar-spec car, they're not worth a lot. But if you put it up for £1k or so you might get lucky. Is it rusted to crap?
