Hi all
Hope its ok to post these in here. Got back from Shelsley Walsh hill climb today where they had the classic car meeting, there was some fantastic and rare machinery there too. the ERA R4D was there going impressivly quick, shame it had a prang at the end of the day though frown Driver was fine.
The Napier Bentley was also there which was a spectacle to watch as was the 27 litre Hispano cool Many stunning Bugattis too. It was amazing to be able to get so close to these valuable machines.
I got some pics of the day of some of the cars that caught my eye. Sorry for the large amount of pics but I didn't want to leave any of these amazing cars out....

Spotted in the car park

Stunning Bugatti, looked original too

ERA R4D

Lotus Cortina

Sorry its just photos with no info..

James.

Your welcome smile R4D certainly was impressive, and going up in 33 seconds too

Sorry but I didn't manage to get any action shots, I only had my Iphone4 with me, tried taking some moving shots but they weren't great great. I did get a few clips though.

R4D is a seriously quick car and always a joy to watch.

I would thoroughly recommend getting along to Prescott later on in the year, same cars but in an even more stunning location.

The joys of the VSCC.

Prescott is 7th & 8th August this year.

Not many events where you can walk up to the cars, chat to the owners and drivers and smell the petrol / ethanol.

Great to see the pictures. We took a group from our club there last year and had a great day. This year we will go as a group to the Prescott one and are really looking forward to that.

The Red Napier Bentley ( car No 170 )is the one for me , I watched it in the paddock at Dunsfold wings and wheels last year , it had finished its run down the straight ( spinning wheels all the way ) and the owner ( him with the hat and the roll ups ) sat in it and just blipped the throttle for about 10 mins, it was spitting flames and smoke and sounded amazing, would have loved to have seen it doing the hill climb here !

Yes! I was there too and what a great day out. What makes it so special for me is the fantastic range of motoring heritage on display for no other reason than their owners genuine love of classic motoring. I think the huge boat-like double hooded beauty in the first pic is a Levassor of some type and I agree with Rower the Napier Bentley is as close to motoring Nirvana as it gets.

Enjoy.....

I'm going for the first time on Sunday, really looking forward to it as I've lived just up the road for 21years and never managed to get there frown. My new neighbour is in the VSCC so I expect I shall make up for lost time now biggrin
