10 months MOT.... only a few hundred pounds... ropey paint job... I think I should probably save for a few more months and think about getting a sub-£1000 xj like the recent SOTW, but I seem to have a soft spot for the SD1 at the moment...

I'm not sure I like all this encouragement, might have to give a few insurers a ring tomorrow and get some reasonable quotes...

Personally, I'd prefer the original steering wheel and gear knob and the deeper front spoiler. Make sure the rear spoiler is the original soft rubber type which I would rather see on the car.

Also, this gives me the chance to post this link once more. Not my car but would if I could...

Hope the video helps wink

That car is looking like a decent shout. At£500 it's at now it's a good buy - a mate paid similar money for a lower spec V8 fixer upper. That car looks like a rolling resto type that you can drive and enjoy from the off.

Incidentally I'm aware of a local vitesse twin plenum which looks standard but with a 4.2 block making 300+bhp.......would love that one.

I'm wondering what festering mouldy horrors lie under those hideous seat covers.

At the current bid it’s got to be worth a look.

Just got an insurance quote that could be deemed 'reasonable' all things considered... oh dear.

Well I didn't have the guts to bid in the end, realistically don't really have the space or the skills/tools to deal with a car like this yet, and probably need to reserve funds for my current 'projects'. Guess my balls aren't quite big or hairy enough for an SD1 yet... one day though...

£770 in the end. Still looks like a bargain.
