Afternoon all,
I'm an Austin 7 Special, from the late 40's early 50's and have got the body shell ready for a coat of primer, and have started to think about the final colour...

The original was a BRG, so I'd like to return it to a shade of that, but there are apparently hunderds of colours classed as BRG!

Anyway I spotted a car last weekend which seems to be the shade I'd like... so asked the owner what colour it was, to be told that it was "Aston Martin 1955 British Racing Green" so has anyone got a clue as to what the paint code is, or where I can find the code?
Thanks
Ru

Given the multitude of BRG's I'd have to suggest a trip to a car paint retailers and ask for a look through their swatches, if there is a paint code for it, one of the manufacturers should list it in the swatches smile

Try the Aston Martin forum on this site or AMOC website for someone who will know this.

ASTON B.R.G. refered to the fact that Metallic Green (of a light hue) passed for " B.R.G. " at Aston.
in the days that people who drove Astons were considered a trifle odd.No doubt theres a word to descibe
the relationship.IF your car has METALLIC green paint anywhere , get a paint match from that. Then its " Original " . Look at a P. 212 /4 /5 A.M. for verification .
