Caravan tyres size?

My vintage caravan needs new tyres, currently fitted are 4.50 - 4.75 - 21

Would it be OK to fit 4.40 - 4.50 - 21

I would have thought no problem, as it's not going to effect gearing or your speedometer reading.

As for the effect on ride and handling, negligible at Vintage speeds.

If it's a concern, why not go up a size rather than down?

Thanks B.G. I'm just after the most economical tyres TBH as I won't be travelling at all fast. The couple of makes of exact replacement size are about 25 pounds more expensive each than the smaller size I have located , x 3 tyres.
