Hi all whos going to the classic ford show at santa pod its a all weekend event well get there sat 5th stay over on sunday its the great classic ford show my cars in it also on the 5th there is full day of run what you brung so may things i hope lots of pistonheads can come cheers lee

Hi pal what a great MK1 you have that is one in a million there shiny mint example a love it i cant wait for the show its put my mind at ease an relax after the bad health am havin am lookin forward too it are you going on the strip too i am trying to get my man marc glover up in his cherry red metalic MK1 fiesta beast he was in classic ford not long back should be a great meet an show a cant wait

I think this is the best Classic Ford Show of the year by Far! I wont be doing the strip has I only have a Mild Tuned 1600 Xflow umder the Bonnet

I'll be there in my mk1 lotus and hopefully a ate in a 68 mk2 cortina cossie powered, if its finished in time

waw ill be honest that is one amazing cortina its like going back all these yearsd waw its like new pal hahah top car there when did it get restored or what the story on that one surely its a barn find?

That's not excuse! a few years ago I was doing the strip in my Mk1 Tina GT (when it ran!) whilst racing my friend in a fully kitted out Nimbus with a limp 1300 xflow

not long now 6 days ia polishing the beast ready starter motors got a problem too its going thow running or not hahah

Thats Funny! My starter rmotor has gone wrong. Mind you thats the only bit I havent replaced LOL! Just ordered a new BOSCH one

well i have had two new ones ther pinion settings are wrong>?

I thought the only differnce was the stud pattern, the pre crossflows had 2 bolts and some escorts had 3, for a brief time i ran a 3 bolt on a 2 bolt bell housing.

what's wrong with bump starting it? biggrin

i would bump it but i dont fancy lookin like a tool really hahah but having saying that now its fixed not too worry ill be there defo a cant wait to see some proper old skool minters

I would go but I dont have the time, been working on the MK1 though to make up for it

if people asked why you are bumping it tell them its built to be light and the starter is slowing you down!

Do you have the spacer between the starter and gearbox? Also there are two Gears for the starter 10 or 9 teeth
In the end I got a new old stock Lucas one

i sorted it now biggest annoyance is the crap airlines we have here to change a bloody tyre haha serious these jubalee clips we have couldnt hold a ants sneeze aprt from that i had a go 2day an fk me it flys like a roller coaster absoulte power amazing pull serious neck action
