I'm having problems with my current insurer Footman James. Can never get through to them on the phone, and twice they have promised my email to send out a valuation form, and nothing. I don't want to change as the policy seems good, but if you can't communicate with them. Is it just me?

Talk to Micheal Ward associates I've had no problems at all with them and the premium is pretty good too.

Or try Classicline on 01455 639000

only connection?

They insure my Midget

Renewal offered this week unlimited mileage and agreed value

£82 ish

Extra for them is UK breakdown cover £29.95 and/or European breakdown at £44.95

if you are not a club member with club valuation I think it costs another £15 to have them value the car

Try www.peterjamesinsurance.co.uk - the James that set up Footman James before selling it to Aon a few years back.

These Guys used to be pretty good too. Not had a classic for a while, so not sure about current status.

Never had problems with FJ - usually quick to answer the phone, may have to wait a minute or two at busy times but not normally an issue. Claimed a few years back after a big crash and they were pretty quick and efficient at dealing with that. And as you said, the premium is reasonable too.

I'd also recommend Hagerty, nice guys to deal with and gave me a very good price for insurance on the M3.

I am also having an frustrating time in my attempts to contact F.J. My issue is an admendment to my policy but I simply cannot get through to an agent, I have been thanked for my patience what seems like 50 times and still no bl88dy person to speak to. I had the same issues last year with F.J. come August and its an change of broker for me.

Much the same problem then, I've now emailed them a third time asking for a valuation form, no reply and no form

Poor old FJ, much the same story 'cept I got through, discussed the deal (on some kind of "not free" phone number too. I get free local and national calls on certain numbers not 0845!) and the lass said she'd put me across to another number to get her quote sorted

The phone went to a ringing tone and died on me!

As I was already peeved I ditched the call and went back with Classicline this afternoon

Peter Best didnt answer the phone

I'm still waiting two and a half hours later for Lancaster to call me back

Don't suppose this helps much but it has got it off my chest frown

They have a few numbers for different offices, as they are only small.

try either 01621 840400 or 01376 573033
