Diplayed a few years back... never again, most of the punters looked very dodgy and I didn't leave my car all day.
Wow now that's funny that you say that as i've been going now for some 25+ years and never felt like that at all. Was you an individual exhibit or were you on a club stand? BLUETHUNDER said:
How do i get an entry form??.
Here you go mate...Individual entry form : http://www.whitewebbsmuseum.co.uk/PDFs/Pageant%202...
Club stand entry form : http://www.whitewebbsmuseum.co.uk/PDFs/Pageant%202...
Will you over the next day or two.
What a complete waste of time & money that event was last year. Half empty display areas where the owner's clubs had booked spaces but did not bother turning up. A member of the TR Register had his car nicked in the car park too. Great if you're happy to be mesmerised by Escorts, Cortinas, Cavaliers, Chevettes, etc - but if you want something more interesting/exotic look elsewhere - No offence intended to owners of the above mentioned cars. By the way, the Minxes looked ok.........

No offence taken sir. Did you go on the Saturday? It's always quiet on the Saturday for cars and club stands. Sorry to hear about the chaps car getting stolen. thats not good at all. I did think that the autojumble looked a `little` thin last year compared to previous years if i'm honest. As for the Escorts, Cortinas, Cavaliers, Chevettes, etc...i may have a glance over these but there is a lot of other nice stuff to look at.

Maybe I exagerate about the Cavaliers & Cortinas, but in truth there was very little that was really special there. A lot of 'bread & butter' classics, nevertheless poorly represented & with the most basic of displays (a roped off display area & a banner was the norm) - I have a TR4 but I don't call that exotic or especially interesting even though I love it. At classic car shows I am looking to see vehicles that make me go wow, not poorly restored Saab 900's & Ford Corsairs, etc - again absolutely no offence intended to owners of such vehicles - they clearly give a lot of pleasure to many people.
Can't remember whether it was the Sat or Sun I attended, but it took us an hours to get there from Barnet due to traffic problems, we arrived about 3 o'clock & had seen what little there was to see in an hour. I can't remember the admission price but the show was so poor I almost felt like asking for a refund.
I go to a well know classic car pub meet near Hertford on the first Sunday of most months, buy a pint, wander amonst the varied selection of classics parked around the village green, & that is far, far more interesting. That is free entry too, but I happily pay the PoM ticket price to go to that pub meet instead.
The PoM is simply well past it's sell by date. I have been a few times in the past where it was far better, say 20 years ago, but last year's visit made me vow to never return.
Sorry to be negative, just saying it as I found it to be.

I have been attending off and on for the past 20 years and it can be good and bad in equal measures. It does tend to be a little weather dependant, as its really a family day out and not for the real petrolhead.
Last year on the Saturday when I went was OK. Its quite good for the spare parts autojumble, albeit not as good as Bromley and some others, but its local to me so worth a visit.
Agreed with the comments about Fords etc, but I don't have a problem with that as they were the cars that I grew up with and aspired to when I was young. Seeing an ex-Professional's Capri fully restored really made my day last year.
I feel it has passed its sell by date a little in this day and age, what with Goodwood, Silverstone, Le Mans etc but its not a bad event if its local to you and not too expensive, I must admit I would not travel far to attend it though.

In all honestly your probably right though about the Pageant being past it's best. Yes The likes of Goodwood have moved the game on sooooooooooooooooooooo much that there just isn't anything to rival it.

That Capri was rather nice wasn't it. I did notice it (may have a pic here somewhere) where other people were just wandering by it thinking that it was just another shiny Capri Last year on the Saturday when I went was OK. I used to attend the Bromley Pageant but what started to annoy me was the fact that they wanted to charge me entry for my classic vehicle then charge the public good money to come and look at my classic vehicle! I did attend a couple of years back but without the car and was pleasantly surprised at the size of the Bromley Pageant. If i'm honest, it's everything that the Enfiled Pageant used to be but without the extensive (and very useful) autojumble.
....Looks like i'll be doing both events this year then !
