Does anyone here know of any classic dealers or garages in Kent?
(Preferably 30 minutes by car from Maidstone or closer, It will take me double the time on a moped!)
Not because I want to buy anything or get any work done on the MGB, Just because I want to pester them / try and find some work amongst classics. That or do some 'voluntary' work when I have time.

Was going to post this in the Jobs & Employment forum, but seems better suited here as I'm after classic dealers / garages.

Not lived there in years, but from memory (I would spend my saturdays and days off driving around the same garages!)

The Ferrari place when you head out of maidstone towards headcorn- where seeboard and the car dealerships are
There's a palce in Pye corner, near Ulcombe
Lenham sports cars in harrietsham
There was also something classic in headcorn, on the way to the aerodrome
The museum in Tenterden with the 3 wheelers
There was somewhere in Bearsted as well- always saw their adverts, but they were by appointment only. You'd have to phone first

Try the Percival Motor Company at Ulcombe, just off the A20.

www.Etypeuk.com in Hadlow are a relatively young company but moving quite fast. You'll need to be into your detail though and have a real passion for it.

Thinking about trying Lenham sports cars this week (if the weather clears up a bit). May well also try some of the others soon. Not 100% sure about the Ferrari garage, Don't think I'd feel comfortable just wandering in hehe

You might as well try Percival Motors as well being that they are only 10 mins away from Lenham. You have nothing to lose.

Do you know what, Screw it.
If the weather is half decent (I.e Not raining) Friday I'll hi-jack my Dads SatNav, Print off a load of CVs and go and annoy some of these people.
The more I think about it (and I try not to) the more I realise how much I dislike my part time job.

Let's hope this SatNav let's me avoid main roads / Motorways!

Well Lenham, Percival and Classic services are all within my reach and shall try them tomorrow, the others are all a bit far (especially on a 50cc)

scratchchin

Need to find some more to try, Maybe even some non-classic garages yikes
