its probably well known to you as my mans nutty peter thurstons infanitly side ways mk1 escort special saloon or super saloon not sure which one hahah

well over 30 years ago aprox my dad barry costello and maurice lyon of bolton built this car now after many years me an my dad would chat endless about getting her back i was 4 last time i saw it we chatted about everything an why then he had no money to buy his share an nowhere to keep it but i am 26 now i built a subaru race car 80 percent done me an me dad chatted we said its shame we couldnt get the escort back instead of this i said yes gutted!
but kepped an smiled pretty much jus after that he went home didnt see him till the next day he come with a huge smile on his face an he was estatic guess what shes up for sale jesus the 1st time in 18 years i have seen him smile like that haha we i stopped wokin on my subaru instantly chucked it to one side haha we spoken about moneys an things but we couldnt let her slip away again i couldnt no chance i wanted to fill them steps what my dad left in 1988 when him an maurice sold it to chris maries an jhon roberts they had it for a year an sold it to mick tester them pete bought her an then did the best thing ever back in black......

NOW I HAVE TO.....
rebuild it for the classic ford show
its a full restoration proccess building painting things up the same am quite sure some people still want super saloons out there where can i race these now haha

cheers pals its good to see support i hope it does as racing to me is everything am not into any thing else 110 percent cars am hoping to be the next gerry marshall or even barry barnes as he was a exceptional bloke an driver i look at things like moneys a problem so work needs to be brought in am very stressed with this reccesion though

well i think really its not changed i am trying to get an mk1 escort square oblong? type grill yet am doing the arches both they come off the sides of the rear wing peter thurston or dave epps made a exellent job of moulding the rear arches so there able to come off so upon rebuildin her a popped em off an re-did everything like am doing the boot lid an passinger door too would you belive this was the car here in the picture

The car will look GREAT on the HMSA stand along with the other Classic Special Saloons and those spaceframed Modsports.
During the year several of the old Thundersaloons and Modsports are practicing and getting rid of the cobwebs,so be interesting to see you up against them.

we have bought it sraight from peter pal god knows who dave is? hahaha

i was speakin to peter today hes doing a absolute wild creation i cant tell you what it is but its better thought out an wilder idea than mick hills beetle peter is puttin super saloons back on the map speaking of back on the map

i joined the hmsa theres a great meet up called modified madness http://www.modifiedmadness.co.uk/ its going to be huge theres loads of my possie going an theres everything am excited to see more special saloons i tryed to get tony hazelwood with the daf v8 up there an dave daylor with mick hills old v8 beetle but there too busy they said?

the hmsa have asked me to be a northern rep for them so anyone up north we can organise a good meet up with some serious all round uk with shows an races general like minded stuff really
