I have a favour to ask. I was a member until the beginning of the year, and there was an article in the members only section of their website which I would like to get a copy of, but I can't get in any more.

Is anyone prepared to help?

TIA

Unless things have changed very recently - you paid a one-off £5 membership fee
so you're a member for life, the extra money per year was to receive the monthly magazine

You and I are 'MO' Members Only and I at least barred from members areas of the web site which I think they've got wrong because as a member (only) surely I (you and thousands of others) should be allowed access to members areas

We still get members' prices on parts as we're members, I regularly get parts in person from Swavesey

My mate has not used the MGOC since 1988 but as he paid the one off he's still a member, I joined around 1990

but I can't be arsed to argue with them I have enough sorting out the spares with them which to be fair they correct when pointed out

Sorry I can't help but I'm sure a current member who subscribes to the magazine will be able to

They have this on Members Login page (perhaps that's my fault for pointing out I was a member but didn't need the mag subscription
"This area of the site is open to current subscribing MG Owners' Club members."

Also from their web site:
Fees
Joining fee (payable once only) £5.00
https://securemg.dmr.co.uk/mgcars/mgoc/oc01e.html

missed the word 'not' out of a sentence - not a good typing day

Sorry just realised you'd be better posting this in the MG Forum of PH

Thanks Nigel. So being a 'life member' only gets me discounts? Better than a kick in the teeth, I suppose.

I cancelled my membership becasue the magazine was so unremittingly dull, and with my insurance at £34 per year, the membership discount wasn't worth having.

I'll try on the MG section, thanks.

I am a current subscribing MGOC member if you still require any help.
