I am looking for someone to remake some carpet for my vintage car. I have the old bit so it can be copied (Carpet is BRG colour). I also need a tonneau cover for the hood as this has started to go (black pvc material, again this can be copied from the original).

If anyone knows anyone ho can do tis reasonably or has any suggestions that would be great - tks

There are a good number of re-trimmers and carpet specialists around. Buy this months Classic and Sportscar and look at the classified ads at the back or one of the marque magazines for more info. Where are you located?

I am based in London. I am not sure Kish is the right ticket as they look too good. I would take it to my local dry cleaners as they do a lot of stitch work there butI havn't been able to source the BRG carpet....it is only copying a flat piece about 1m square with a few grooves in it.

I would say this company are probably one of the best;

http://www.aldridge.co.uk/

Very good quality stuff, supply only or i believe they fit also if required.

I have no affiliation to company at all other than being a happy customer

I used http://www.classic-car-carpets.co.uk/ just before Christmas.

I sent the old carpets to be used at patterns - the results were very good and very well priced.
Very helpful & thoroughly recommended.

p.s. The guy who runs it is a proper car enthusiast

thank you - it was my fathers for 40 years - never really went anywhere due to school fees and then a barn fell on it, not to mention the woodworm, corrosion, mouse holes etc etc. Still he only paid £50 for it to a farmer who used it for carting hay around in the fields. theres a lot of work ahead but hoping to get to LMC.

Who besides yourself are you hoping to have work on the car to help restore her to her previous concourse glory?
