Apologies for the long title!
I sometimes organise meetings for my local Rolls-Royce club and at a committee meeting last night, we considered where in Central London we could go for a Sunday meet up. It would have to be a 'place of interest', with good parking, where we could either have a picnic or a venue with a restaurant facility. Can anyone recommend a good place?
Many thanks in advance
Andrew

I'd suggest The outer Circle (just below Prince Albert Rd) on the North side of Regents park.

Parking places are usually available (you could always make enquiries at the Zoo for reserved parking as you will be adding to the appeal of their attraction). The park and Zoo are pleasant for a stroll and there are some nice places to eat & drink in nearby Primrose Hill (The Engineer is a lovely little pub with great food).

Edit to add: If not and you can organise sufficient parking, St James Park or Green Park.

St James's Square, Pall Mall, Battersea Park and even the city would not be too daft for a Sunday.

The Serpentine in Hyde Park? There's quite a lot of parking near the bridge that crosses it, a couple of cafes by the lake and the Serpentine gallery.

Oh, and if you turn up early enough you might see the mad lot from the Serpentine swimming club!

Here's a great place, possibly a bit off the beaten track and possibly a bit council, however..

Thank you all for your suggestions. We're the Middlesex section of the RREC, drawing members from NW London up to South Herts and South Bucks. We've actually been to the barrier a few years ago and I think it was a long drive for some pre-war cars. We've done the Ace Cafe before (midweek) and now thinking of Central London. The Zoo sounds like a good idea, ditto the parks mentioned. Does anyone know if it is possible to book parking in one of the parks?
Many thanks
Andrew

Battersea park has parking - nice spot and pretty central although one of the bridges has a tight squezze to cross - famous for being not wide enough for testerossa's

That's Albert Bridge, which incidentally is closing for 18 months(!!!) from this weekend (15 Feb) for a refurb.
