I came across an article in the Motor Sport of April 1974 on this car and, a woeful state I admit, I had no idea they had ever produced this 1950s-looking F1 car with Ferrari 330GTC mechanicals. Can anyone enlighten me more on how many were made or still exist? It certainly looks a real beast and must have been quick, weighing in at only 18 cwt with nearly 400bhp.

I saw one in the paddock at Silverstone in the 80s.
An interesting thing and nicely finished, but, like all Panthers (in my opinion, obviously), a little bit agricultural.

Oh God no! It's a hideous piece of crap, just like every single other car design idea Willi Felber had in his life!

More or less, just a rebodied 330 in the same way that lots of other 330's and 250's have been hacked up to make replicas and specials. Claims of 400bhp, should be taken with industrial sized pinches of salt smile

Saw this one in Monaco last summer:

Parked next to Corniche Convertible, 600SWB, Phantom Drophead and 911...

It looks a bit like something Dino Dog from the Richard Scarry stories would drive!

I just love the obscurity you managed to build in and the accuracy of the image!

Thanks Ferg. They were my favourite books as a child and in recent years I've been able to read them all over again with my son. There's some great images in them, especially "Cars and Trucks and Things That Go".
smile

However I have just realised it's Dingo Dog and not Dino Dog!

I guess one needs something to stand out from the hoi-polloi in their Rolls and Merc 600s. Let alone their cleaner in the 911!
