domestic only insurance for black cab (FX4) -HELP!

Hi all,

not sure if this is the correct place for this question.

i'm looking to get a black cab for domestic pootling round and general tomfoolery - NOT FOR BUSINESS. but i'm struggling to find insurers. one quote was for £1200 TPFT for a cab that's worth £2000!!!

does anyone know any insurance companies who would give me a sensible quote for a black cab (FX4)?

If you make it clear that it it is used as a private car then it should be very cheap. Adrian Flux or similar should be able to quote this very cheaply.

thanks guys, i managed to get a quote for under £300 from best driver on a classic car policy.

now we just have to carry out the camper conversion and plan a route to istanbul. happy days!!
