A thread thats probably already been done but here goes,The Man Who Haunted Himself,Roger Moore being serious, drives a P5B saloon.
Villain,Richard Burton plays a sadistic London gangland boss(he does love his though)Drives P5B coupe lots of shots of the car and period west London.
PS is Micheal Caine the only man who can make a MK2 Cortina look cool(I believe Mr Caine can't drive)

But of course they weren't classics then - it's just an old film! smile

Talking of Micheal Caine in Get Carter

He also drove the porno star's Sunbeam Alpine (with her in the boot) She later meets her maker (we assume) when the baddies (sic they are all baddies) push the car into the Tyne (tart still in boot)

At the other end of the Sunbeam Alpine scale
George Cole (as Flash Harry)in St Trinnians

OK talking Alpines!!

What about the original 1950's Alpine Grace Kelly tries to seduce Cary Grant in to Catch a Thief.

They stop for a picnic on the Cornich. Grace pulls some chicken from the hamper and (looking a bit saucy) says "breast or leg"

I believe Michael can drive. A story related by the missus. Apperently Mr Caine in his early days popped into Mayfair to purchase a new RR. Having been treated with distain and genrally ignored he left and bought his new RR elsewhere. He returned to Mayfair RR dealership at a later date. Parked up outside. Held hand on horn. Once they had taken notice he gesticulated with a friendly wave (I'll leave you to guess) and drove off. The moral of the story is never jusge a book by its cover. I do hope that this story is true.

Michael Caine passed his driving test in 1987. It's sort-of amusing watching him lever himself uneasily from the driver's seat of his cars in The Ipcress File and The Italian Job with this insight - but so what???? Cracking actor, cracking films smile .

Incidentally, some reckon The Man Who Haunted Himself is Roger Moore at his acting best. Compared to such as The Saint and especially James Bond, I reckon TMWHH is Roger Moore acting out of his skin (he's that good in comparison) and it's one of my favourite films.
