& sills, inner sills, jacking points, front arches, front & rear lower corners & scuttle panel (below windscreen).
I cannot comment on the mechanical side of things, but the body is an expensive area to get right on them - & there are A LOT out there which have been bodged, in fact in my experience there are far more poor/bodged ones than good ones in existence by a considerable margin!
Buy a bodged one & you will be chasing trying to make it look good every six months with some open wallet surgery at your local bodyshop!
Good luck with the search

Depending on what model you are looking at, Rear leveling valves on the suspension leak, dampers leak and bottom front suspension joints wear. Tyres are generally very old .For some reason they are never changed!Brake calipers seize
rubber brake pipes collapse internally. they have a huge amount of pipework around the car for the braking/ suspension system which rot. The accumulaters leak gas into the braking system but can be overhauled at a specialist. Generally these items go wrong with poorly maintained vehicles. Look at the brake reservoirs, the RR363 fluid tends to absorb water and create a green haze over the site glasses, this will be indicative of the condition of the system. Regular changes of the fluid is a good idea and try to aim to buy the best with some service history. Then seek out a specialist locally , to go and inspect with you before you buy.Don`t think my post is detrimental on the vehicle, this is not the case. They are a very good car with there own foibles.Hope this helps.

Personally, speaking about frinds I know who do a lot of weddings, probably a good Jaguar Mk VII or Mk VIII would be a better proposition. If you are being sucked in to the R-R thing because they are quite cheap, then as said above they are cheap for a reason and horrendously expensive to put right. When I owned it my Mk VIII was often asked for as a wedding car because it wasn't a Rolls. I'm not just advocating a Jaguar (they are just the make I know a little about), but if you are intent on going into the business, look around at other options as far as cars are concerned. You'll probably save yourself a packet.

Found a few Daimler DS 420 Limousines for a preety good price now....
Hmmm, looking good!
OMG - hadn't thought of those! The drivers compartment is sized for a midget, and above all be absolutely sure that the bodywork is completely sound. You are into bankruptcy street if it needs a load of work.Hmmm, looking good!
After gaining an enormous heads up into what to look for in a good Shadow 11 from an ex RR Crewe chap we looked at what must have been 25 cars before we bought one. That was 18 years ago. I hate to think how many I would have to look at today. Just be very very careful. I can give you the telephone numbers of two very good guys both London based that can PPI if it would be of help.
