Shamelessly lifted from another site, I found these two very reminiscent of days gone by. I've usually fumed at these mobile road blocks, but some of 'em sure know how to drive!

1966. Carlight Caribbean 'sells for a little over 1500..." (Wonder if that was pounds or Guineas?)

Now, iirc, my old had just bought a Cortina GT which sold or about £810 in those days. So the caravan was twice the cost of the mid market car. I think it was shortly after that he bought a caravan, mid market 'Sprite Alpine' as I recall, and that cost around £450 I think.

Those were the days ...
