Hi

The laquer has started to crack and lift on my veneered, bakelite dashboard (2" long cracks coming radiating out from the choke)

The solution is to to remove the dash, strip the old laquer and re-laquer (a winter job)

Anything I can do to make it look more respectable until then? ie apply some sort of dye or laquer to the crack in the hope that it "leaches" in and makes the cracks less obvious?

A couple of smallish pieces of laquer are missing completely, maybe trying to build the level up with more laquer?

Any advice would be appreciated.
