Quickest Sixties Estate

The triumph Mk1 2.5 Pi estate was a pretty rapid performer in it's day for a proper production car* rather than a conversion.
And trying to find one today won't be easy. I can remember my Dad trying to find one back in the late 1970's, and he spent about 6 months trying and found one fairly ropey one for sale. In the end he bought a MK2 2000 estate instead, and chopped that in for a 2500S version a few years later.- though they didnt make many.
I can remember one of his mates had a lovely dark green Mk2 2.5PI estate around 1977/78.
The other thing is the Rover 3500 estates that were converted, but are equally rare.

Rover 2000, but they didn't make many! Not factory
Escort Mexico? didn't make many of these either, and they may have been 70s!? only made 3 , one left!
Scimitar - would the dogs fit? no
Range Rover! not sixties
Volvo P1800? Good call ,but may not fit the OP's criteria

How about this? http://www.classicalfa.com/cars/1973%20Giulia%20Su...
I know that this example is 1973 but the car was first introduced in 1962, so it's essentially 'Sixties'.

Introduced 1970, so almost 60s! There must have been some prototypes running in the 60s!Gassing Station | Classic Cars and Yesterday's Heroes | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
