So who's going to the silverstone classic?
Discussion
Going in my Fairthorpe EM having got it MOT`d on Monday it`s been off the road for 25 years, also hoping for no rain as it has no weather gear yet! Unfortunatly won`t have time to finish sorting the body work out but will be doing the classic run and the parade lap on Sunday........Martin

Don't let the weather stop you
We'll be there setting tents up around lunchtime tomorrow come rain or shine (or more likely large amounts of beer )

yes I know its a racing day, but there is a lot of displays as well so it sort of belongs here too.
We'll be there on the saturday- if its dry in the Aston DBS V8, and we're arriving with jaguar members (long story...)
My brother-in-law and family will be with the Aston owners club with his Blue DB6 on Saturday - my dad's spending today and tomorrow giving it a final clean. We'll be there on the saturday- if its dry in the Aston DBS V8, and we're arriving with jaguar members (long story...)
Just got back. Car ran like a dream (for once!) and the kettle C-type is gorgeous. Thanks for bringing it!
I didnt get to see you RW, but we saw the car( we were based with the XK8/R owners club in the new XKR convertable)
So many cars, so little time to see them all. And not sure what my "car of the event" is.
If I have one complaint, some of the races seemed too long- the grid was spread out and the racing not very exciting.

Sorry that I did not get to meet any new faces. Dropped parts at Fearnsport and then we blagged our way in. Could have parked in the paddock but did not want to take the p*ss so parked outside the medical centre. Expensive day though. I have an arai gp4k helmet but you cannot retro fit the hans device. So called into grand prix racewear, purchased a gp5k with hans device £1100. The hans device was £400 or could have gone with carbon fibre for £750. Not cheap but your neck is important. Meant to buy one prior to Spa, just ran out of time.
Very nice and relaxed feel to the whole day. Next year were all going to make more of an effort. Only two lambo's there. An espada and my mates diablo gt. Next year it will be different.
