As the title says. Is it possible to buy thin vinyl to cover a dashboard and follow the curves of it, or will I need to get a cover made up which is stitched from various pieces?

It's for a 1958 Peerless which has got a fibreglass dash so I can't use an existing cover.

The only alternative I can think of is crackle black paint, but I'd rather have something which is nice to touch. Any ideas?

I bought the correct vinyl to cover my Frogeye dash from a Sprite specialist (PBW in B'ham) - available in a few colours.

That dash is flat so whether it would curve I don't know, I suppose it depends how far it needs to curve...

Boing to this thread. Woolies were a bit, err, wooly on their website for vinyl suitable for dashboards. But I phoned them up, they recommended some stuff and I fitted it this weekend - turned out quite well even though it took almost the whole day to do!

Progress continues.... wink
