Classic carpets

I have got a nice '72 Scimitar which had been restored in the late 80's and little used since. However, the carpets inside have been a bleached by the Sun despite being otherwise VGC. Is there any method to "dye" the carpets black again other than having to rip out and relace them all?? But of a mad question, but has anyone ever dyed their carpets?!!!!!

I saw somthing in one of the classic car mags a while ago. I think a restorer had used dylon to good effect. You only need a colour fast dye try a local haberdashery shop.

Used Dylon many moons ago on the faded carpets on my Vauxhall Viscount.

Waited to my parents were away for the weekend and used the bath tub....
